According to The Sun, West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere could be set for yet another injury setback, as he faces a potential ankle operation that could rule him out for the remainder of the season.

An Arsenal academy graduate, Wilshere joined the Hammers as a free agent this summer after a decade with the Gunners. However, in his time so far at the London Stadium, the ongoing fitness issues that have plagued his career have restricted the 26-year-old to just five Premier League outings.

Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...

He is a wonderfully talented player, but injuries have derailed the 34-cap England international’s career to such an extent that it is hard to envision him ever retuning to his best on a long-term basis, especially if yet more surgery is required.

Considering Wilshere is tied to a three-year contract with the Irons – worth £100,000-a-week, according to The Sun – Manuel Pellegrini may well now be regretting the acquisition.
